Summary

A voter hub organizes all of your VoteAmerica tools in one place so supporters can easily take action. This guide explains how to design an effective hub that increases conversions and keeps visitors engaged.

What a voter hub should include

A strong voter hub includes clear and simple access to your most important tools. Most organizations include:

  • Voter registration
  • Voter registration verification
  • Vote by mail request
  • Permanent absentee voting (if applicable in your state)
  • Polling place lookup
  • State election information

Keep the layout clean with each tool on its own page or its own call to action.

How to design your hub

  • Use direct calls to action such as “Check your voter registration” or “Register to vote today.”
  • Place your most used or highest converting tool at the top.
  • Limit distractions by focusing on one action per section.
  • Use short descriptions that explain what each tool does.
  • Make sure your hub works on mobile devices.

Where to place your hub

Your voter hub should be easy to find. Common placement includes:

  • Main navigation menu
  • Header or hero section during election periods
  • Footer links for evergreen use
  • Links inside newsletters and campaign emails

Website Examples

  • Feel Good Action

    • Promotes voter tools in both its menu and footer.
    • “VOTE VOTE VOTE” dropdown links to six tool pages.

  • Voters of Tomorrow

    • Features a Voting Hub page linked from its main navigation.
    • The hub explains each tool and links users to the right action.
